One day while I was training, a car coming out of a road saw me and did not stop, and I went flying. I got up and had no desire to talk with him or argue. I didn’t even looked at his face, he did not deserve it. And the one in the Tour didn’t even stopped to see what we had done! That’s the worst part, not stopping. I would have stopped.
How did you feel afterwards?
I had a moment of crying alone in the bus.

Start from 2:20 or so and see TwinSpires.com rider David Whitney take off like he was Fabian Cancellara… he’d later go on to win solo.
There was a lot to like about this weekend’s Amstel. But I think my favorite part was when Fabian Cancellara and Bram Tankink put on dueling bike handling clinics on opposite ends of the peloton at 23km to go.
Tomorrow’s Fleche Wallone features the Mur de Huy - a pretty steep section of road. How steep? As Cyclocosm points out - it’s a-pro-does-it-at-7.3 MPH-steep.
PS: Despite Strava’s restrictive “free” plan, the “segments” feature is worth the price of admission. Upload your rides, and mark the climbs - and see who rode them faster.

As Ray pointed out, Velo Vivid has been shooting some fantastic shots at local/regional road and cross races. Do check ‘em out.

I might be biased* but Twinspires’ David Whitney is blazing his way through the Cat 5 and 4 fields in his first season. 4 podiums in 3 weekends. Cat 3s should be on notice!
PS - Hueston Woods (OSRS #3) results are up!
