Shit Cyclocrossers Say…about the 2013 Cyclocross Worlds in Louisville.
(Source: cxhairs.com)
Our man Drew Dillman was top American in 14th place at the 2012 Juniors Cyclocross World Championships in Koksijde, Belgium!
We forgot about our old team, and we were Team USA I guess, working together and trying to do our best to do each other out.
Congrats Drew!

Euro Cross Camp is in FULL swing now - and with these racing-lean days ahead of us until the US CX Nationals and Masters CX Worlds - you need to be paying attention to what’s happening with three of our local youths over in Belgium. They’ve got a full race schedule between now and January 1st, so make sure to keep tabs on their news, results and rider diaries.
Also: they’ve got an excellent Facebook presence, as well as a hearty Twitter stream.

One of my favorite insights into the perspective of others towards my efforts on the bike usually occurs the Monday morning following a race weekend.
Friend: How’d your race go this weekend?
Me: Not bad
Friend: Did you win?
Me: Nope
Friend: Do you make any money from racing?
Me: You can if you do well enough or, better yet, win.
Friend: Do you ever win?
Me: Nope
Meet your Louisville Euro Cross Campers!
Drew Dillman (Bob’s Red Mill), John Francisco and Luke Haley (Red Zone Cycling) are all three headed to Geoff Proctor’s Euro Cross Camp in Belgium. Slots are limited, so to have 3 out of the 8? kids be from the 502 is 100% rad.
Is our CX cycling region kick ass? Is our OVCX series kick ass? Hell yeah they are!!
We have three local boys who got the call-up this morning that they have been invited to EuroCrossCamp. Drew Dillman of Bob’s Red Mill and Luke Haley and John Francisco of Red Zone Cycling with the proper funds will be headed over to Belgium in just a few short weeks to compete is some heavy duty European Cross before coming back to represent us at Nationals in January.
3 locals chosen the year before Worlds will be in our backyard - sounds like we will not only be cheering for other Americans next year, but perhaps some of our own homegrown.

Adam Myerson and the Bob’s Red Mill crew enjoy an apres-cross slug of the bourbon we let the tourists drink.

“After doing my best 20/20 investigative reporting, crunching results, and talking with masters peers this weekend, I wont be surprised if those rainbow tears could be rolling down the cheek of someone we know.”
